Oral history collection, 1987-1992.

This oral history collection contains a wide variety of interviews conducted and collected by the Alabama Society of the Colonial Dames. The interviewees and topics include Colin Campbell discussing a 1922 trip from Miss. to Vir.; Lucy Oliver Coleman talking about her life as a young woman in Montgomery, Ala.; Luther Leonidas Hill on his career as a physician and his talk "Some Background of Montgomery Medicine"; Price McLemore in an interview by Dwayne Cox, Auburn Archivist, providing insight into 19th and 20th Century agriculture in Alabama; Mrs. Price McLemore talking about the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts; Virginia Scott Martin discussing family history; Mrs. Sidney Mohr giving the history of Montgomery Little Theater and the Junior League; Irene Munro; John Peoples, and others. The collection also includes tapings of histroical narratives by Bradley family members and several interviews on how the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) affected Decatur, Ala. Several of the tapes are of poor quality and are difficult to understand.
